During my time a dance major at Florida State University, I endured many injuries and was recommended try Pilates as a way of cross training to rehab injuries so I could keep dancing. I went from a hip injury at risk of needing surgery and in 6 months to no pain at all and dancing at peak performance. Needless to say I was hooked and wanted to share this incredible practice with others. I attained my Mat Pilates certification through Balanced Body and begin teaching fellow dancer’s and helping with injury rehab and movement efficiency. I went on after graduating with my BFA and moving to NYC to acquire my comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body NYC. In my opinion, Pilates is one of the greatest, most well-rounded and all encompassing forms of exercise for literally everyone. I love teaching people,sharing knowledge, and watching bodies, injuries, and pain completely transform. I enjoyed working with injured clients so much that I decided I wanted to go back to school for Physical Therapy to keep building upon my knowledge of the body eventually become a DPT. This is what brought me to Core Focus Physical Therapy, and I am loving every minute of it.
